Domino, 3 yrs old, Male
Adopt me at Kitsap Humane Society Domino, an Australian Cattle, pit-bull mix, came to Kitsap Humane Society as a stray so his history is unknown. Since his arrival in December 2021, he has spent a lot of time with his foster, and they can attest to how sweet he is with them and people he’s familiar with. However, his sweetness doesn’t extend to strangers quite yet, since he came in with no ID or history, no one knows what his past holds. His foster and the shelter staff are working with him to build up his trust. Domino doesn’t do well with other dogs, cats or children under 16, so a home where he’s Top Dog would be ideal. He loves playing fetch so a fenced yard would bring him a lot of joy. Homeless since December 2021 |
Dee, 10.5 yr old, Female
Adopt me at Seattle Animal Shelter Dee’s life was turned upside down after her family, whom she’d been with since a puppy, had to let her go due to housing issues in 2019. Since then, life has been a little rocky with two adoptions and returns. Dee is a 10.5-year-old pit bull mix who is being cared for by Seattle Animal Shelter. This golden girl is looking for that forever family and a life of stability, full of love, to live out her golden years. This sweet girl has moved and lived in several homes, and she’s so ready to find a permanent place where she can rest her head on a warm lap. Dee’s foster family shared she loves puzzle toys and zoomies in the yard. Dee is reactive to other dogs and small animals. Homeless since October 2019 |
Kissimmee, 3.5 yrs old, Female
Adopt me at WAIF The staff at Whidbey Animals' Improvement Foundation (WAIF) finds Kissimmee, a delightful, loving and just an amazing gal. Her face lights up when you step in front of her, and then watch out - she’s on you with kisses like bee to honey! Her face brims with happiness when she gets to run, and she loves a good belly rub. Kissimmee needs a forever home with someone that will make her their one and only pet (kids 10+ is best). Homeless since April 2021. |
Tex, 2.5 yrs old, Male
Adopt me at Dog Gone Seattle Tex, a German Shepherd mix, is a friendly and affectionate dog, he loves to play fetch and bonds well with people. He is insecure around other dogs so he's not a good candidate for a dog park. On walks, he’s reactive on leash, but is being trained on that. Like a lot of German Shepherds, he and cats don't mix well, so an ideal home for him would be that he’s the only dog with a fenced yard where he can zoom around. Homeless since August 2021. |
Raider, 4 yrs old, Male
Adopt me at Dog Gone Seattle Raider, a Belgian Malinois, is a bundle of joy, who is energetic and loves to fetch. His sense of smell is incredible and could be trained to do nose work, agility, dock diving, barn hunt, flyball or rally. Raider spent his early life in an abusive and neglected home, crated for over fourteen hours, which accounts for why he dislikes crates now! He was transferred from Humane Society Tacoma & Pierce County and is now with Dog Gone Seattle. He’s fine with other larger dogs, just not small dogs, cats, or young kids. Homeless since May 2022. |
Ryan Reynolds, 2 yrs old, Male
Adopt me at Motley Zoo Animal Rescue Ryan is a dog who had a very difficult start to life. When young, his mum shook him which caused a physical injury, akin to shaken baby syndrome. Despite this, he’s mobile and has no trouble walking though it may not be a straight line. He also has some developmental delays and fear issues, but he works hard to overcome them. He is affectionate in his own way, but he cannot be cuddled for too long or he may panic. He will, however, tap you with his paw for attention and does love to be petted. Ryan Reynolds knows his name plus words such as “Sit.” He’s a dog that thrives on schedules and routines. For example, he loves to ride in the car, but he has to be in a crate; and when he exits the crate, he will not jump straight out when the door is opened, but rather has to walk across to his “spot” to jump down. He loves eating from puzzle feeders like Kong wobblers. He’s very loving and will give kisses, though he may miss the mark at times due to a lack of depth perception; he may lick your nose one time, your ear another time and your eye the next! He’s a wonderful, silly and sweet boy who just needs a second chance at life and a patient and caring family. Homeless since August 2020. |
Joey King, 2+ yrs old, Female
Adopt me at Motley Zoo Animal Rescue When you first meet Joey, you can see what a sweet girl she is. Quiet and low key, she gives the sweetest little meows to let you know it's time to feed her. Joey has a condition called mega-esophagus, which puts her at risk at regurgitating food after eating. This can lead to aspiration pneumonia, so to prevent this, Joey eats using a special food stand and then she’s held in an upright position for an hour, making her the purrfect Netflix binging pal! She’s litter box trained and is fine with small, low-energy dogs. Homeless since September 2020. |
Carole Bradshaw, 2 yrs., Female
Adopt me at Motley Zoo Animal Rescue Carole may look like a small poodle mix, but she’s really a standard sized husky/Collie mix with an atypical husky coat. She loves to play with other dogs, long walks and not so rigorous hikes. She loves car rides and wants to be involved in what you’re doing. She does tend to chase cats and small dogs but she aims to please and takes to training easily. Beware that she also loves nothing more than to dig in the mud. She has a valgus deformity on her front right leg, which makes it splay to the side. Surgery isn’t an option right now as it may do more harm than good. She’s active and doesn’t let it slow her down. She’s on supplements and needs to maintain a high-quality diet with appropriate supplements to keep the joints strong. Homeless since November 2020. |
Nezzy, 3 yrs., Male
Adopt me at SCRAPS Nezzy was surrendered on January 1, 2021 -- which is no way to start a new year! Thankfully, Nezzy landed safely into the care of SCRAPS of Spokane. Shutdown and shy in the beginning, he has become a devoted friend, happy to visit with the caring staff at the shelter. He was even awarded “Best Smile” and “Best Frog Legs”! Nezzy plays with several of his other doggie friends at the shelter. He's a good boy who is ready for a safe and loving home. Homeless since January 2021. |
Piper, 3 yrs., Female
Adopt me at Pasado's Safe Haven Piper is an energetic girl who LOVES her people! Piper is blind and so she especially appreciates scent games and good verbal communication from her human companions. Piper is fast to learn , she’s very responsive to her caregivers and is excellent in her clicker training; she's learned the words sit, stay, shake, leave it, drop it, going to place, going to crate, and paw down! Piper needs a strong, confident person who shares her love of learning new things, as she’s strong and confident herself. Piper enjoys new scents, games and solving food puzzles. She was rescued from a high-volume shelter in Texas where she was at risk of euthanasia. Right off the transport vehicle, she was ready to give everyone kisses and this hasn't stopped! This girl is a great example of the beauty a blind dog can see in the world. She's always happy, and her body is always just wiggling with joy! Piper doesn't always know her size and can be a bit gregarious when showing her love so she'd be best in a home without young children or small animals. Thanks WARM 106.9 for highlighting Piper on your Wet Nosed Wednesday! Homeless since November 2020. |
Bella, 3 yrs., Female
Adopt me at Wenatchee Valley Humane Society Bella is all wiggly butt when she knows it's time for fetch or go on a walk. An active Terrier & American Pit Bull mix, she is ready walks, jogs and hikes or a fun game of tug. She's as much up for playtime as she for R&R, she loves to curl up and snuggle with loved ones. Bella is smart, affectionate, goofy and always wants to please. The folks at the shelter have provided great care for her, and even enrolled her in a behavior program where she met new people and learned to adapt to new surroundings. With all that support, she's blossomed into a wonderful dog, after arriving shy and unsure. Bella prefers less crowded places and would benefit from a fenced yard, with free reign to play. She would do best as the only pet with no children under 15. Homeless since October 2020. |

Juniper, 2+ yrs, Female
Adopt me at Greyhound Pets, Inc. Juniper is a young, playful, happy, adorable girl, who loves to play. Being a smart hound, she learns fast and is easy to train. She gets along well with people, frequently playing with them, tossing her toy up in the air, seeking out playmates who will join her in her games. She also loves car rides! Juniper has been homeless twice in her short life. She was originally adopted in California as a young pup. But when she was hit by a car, she was returned to the shelter. She made her way to Greyhound Pets, Inc. in May 2021, and is now waiting for her forever home. Her caretakers at GPI have been helping her overcome her fears and gain confidence, and she's showing improvements daily. Yay! Despite her "hound" looks, after a DNA test, everyone was surprised she has no Greyhound in her! She's more German Shepherd than anything else. She would do well with no cats and no kids in the house. The love, joy and energy she will bring you will be boundless, so please give this lovely pooch a chance! Watch her videos to see how loving and playful she is! Juniper was on WARM 106.9 on October 12, 2022 and also on their "Wet Nose Wednesday's" station website. Check her out here: Wet Nose Wednesday – WARM 106.9 (warm1069.com) Homeless since May 2021. |
Asha, 6 yrs., Female
Adopt me at Forgotten Dogs Rescue They don't call her the "Queen of Snuggles" for nothing! Asha is a calm, sweet girl who loves to be cozy - whether on the couch, under blankets, in her foster person’s lap, or snoozing in front of the fireplace, comfort is her top priority! Asha has great manners and would do best in a quiet home with a fenced yard. She doesn't fancy teenagers, cats, or other dogs. Basically, this queen just wants to be your one and only! Since she's been with her fosters, her confidence has grown greatly and she does well meeting new people, including her foster's young nephew. Asha is hopeful she'll find her forever family to cuddle with soon. Homeless since October 2020. |

Bo, 6 yrs., Male Adopt me at Forgotten Dogs Rescue Bo is a happy pooch who is super sweet, loves to play, and is very treat motivated! Favorite games include tug and fetch. He also has great stamina so if you enjoy hiking or anything outdoorsy, you're in luck as Bo can walk for miles, and snow just makes it even better to be outside! Bo would make a perfect outdoor partner. Bo can't wait to find a family where he can fit right in and where he can get a lot of attention and keep learning and playing! Bo was highlighted by WARM 106.9 on January 18, 2023 for their "Wet Nose Wednesday's". Check him out here: Meet Bo – The Sweet Hiker – WARM 106.9 (warm1069.com) Homeless since September 2020. |
Rocket, 6 yrs., Male
Adopt me at SCRAPS Rocket is intelligent, active, loving, playful and makes a great hiking/jogging buddy! Not to mention he’s always up for a car ride, especially if you’re going to get him a puppacino! Indoors, he like to lounge around on the couch or bed, and even allows dress up, such patience! He can be a bit cat-like and aloof at first but bonds quickly once he feels safe. Rocket is one rad pooch! Inquire with the shelter today to meet Rocket! Homeless since March 2019. |
