Yolanda Morris, co-founder, and President
Yolanda Morris has several years experience, as a student, staff member, and volunteer, in the nonprofit sector with her main focus in the animal welfare field. When working with an organization she especially enjoys being involved with volunteer management, special events, fundraising, and increasing the strength of the organization to help achieve their mission.
Yolanda was the winner of In Defense of Animal's Guardian Award

Yolanda is the proud parent of Leah (dog) and Lucas (dog), both rescued.

Julie McGoldrick, Vice President
Julie McGoldrick has had an interest in animals since early childhood which led her to her degrees in Biology and Zoology and her current job in Biopharmaceuticals. She has volunteered over the years for several animal welfare organizations and is currently interested in animal behavior studies. She intends to bring her knowledge and experiences to Pawsitive Alliance to help increase educational resources we make available to the public. Julie shares her home with husband, Shawn, and six rescued pets: Pepper, Cricket, Ruby, and Binky (dogs), as well as Stryder and Smokey (cats).

Tammy Halstead, Treasurer
Tammy Halstead has volunteered with Pawsitive Alliance since 2010 and joined the board in 2012. Tammy has served in various finance and accounting roles in publicly traded companies as well as startups in the Puget Sound region. She has deep experience in all life stages of a company from inception to maturity and has worked with entrepreneurs in various technology startups putting together a strong financial infrastructure and providing leadership to help grow companies as well as raise funds from angel investors and venture capital firms. She has helped take companies public and played a primary role in various M&A activity. Tammy previously worked at InfoSpace, Inc. where she initially joined as Corporate Controller and went on to serve various roles including Senior Vice President & Chief Accounting Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Other companies where Tammy has served various finance and senior management roles include GoGoMobile, USWeb, Cosmix, Inc (which was acquired by USWeb), ConnectSoft Inc., and Gearbulk Ltd. Tammy began her career in public accounting at Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young LLP). Tammy holds a BBA from Idaho State University and is a CPA (Inactive). Tammy has served on various non-profit boards, as a community volunteer or mentor with organizations including Washington CASH, Seattle Pug Rescue, and City Year of Seattle. She has served on the Advisory Board for Idaho State University's College of Business since 2003. Tammy and her husband share their home with two rescue pugs, Puggy and Smudge.


Andrea McFadden, Secretary
Andrea McFadden has a lifetime affection for the animals that join our families and has been an active supporter of Pawsitive Alliance since she moved to Seattle in 2007 from Philadelphia.  She is honored to bring both her enthusiasm for the mission and her skills as a start-up and marketing professional to the Board.  While she enjoys all kinds of pets, she has a very special place in her heart for Airedale and Cairne Terriers and is a proud grandma to Petunia the Pug.


Kelly McGourty, Board Member
Kelly found Pawsitive Alliance through her work with Clancy's Pad, an organization she founded in memory of her beloved Clancy to help people help their pets, and has been an enthusiastic volunteer ever since.  With a background in environmental science and regional planning, she is looking forward to using her organizational skills and passion for community service to help advance the mission of Pawsitive Alliance and make a difference, one pet at a time.

Robin Grannell
Robin Grannell, CEO of Canine Behavior Center, Inc., has 22 years experience as a Canine Behaviorist. She stays active in the daily activities of the business with private behavior modification and training, seminars, and training classes. Robin is one of the trainers that conducts Pawsitive Alliance's Pre Adoption Workshops which are designed to help people get answers to questions about adopting a dog, and bringing a dog home, in order to help them select the right dog for their family and life.

Robin is helping us grow our capabilities in improving pet retention and providing education resources to the public.


Vaughn Merry
Vaughn Merry is the administration director for the Humane Society of Central Washington and has been in the animal care field for about 6 years. Vaughn has always had an interest in animals, especially cats and dogs. He focuses on increasing adoptions, humane education, spay/neuter of companion pets, and helping to reinforce the mission of the Humane Society. Vaughn is currently serving as the coordinator for Spay & Neuter Assistance Program in Yakima County. Vaughn shares his home with wife, Jennifer, children Nathen & Samantha, Duke & Bear (dogs), and Itty & A.J. (cats).

Denise Melton, Programs and Administrative Manager
Denise Melton helps Pawsitive Alliance part-time as an Administrative Manager and has also taken on lead for our event coordination. A lifelong believer in service to others and the world, she supports Pawsitive Alliance's work for our furry friends as well as many other nonprofit organizations. Denise can also be found teaching, tutoring, and doing energy healing work through her business Blissful Healing Spirit. When not working, Denise and her husband, Daniel, spend their time playing with their daughter Grace, and their cat children Angel and Sariah.

Our steering committees meet regularly to help advise and further develop our programs.
