Celebrating Spring and Happy Hounds After Our April Drools Adoption Event

On a sunny April day, spring had arrived and love was in the air. Best of all, 75 dogs and puppies found loving families at the April Drools Adoption event! We are pleased to start out our 2009 adoption event season with such a solid success! Once again, we are inspired by our shelter and rescue partners, driving for hours to give the dogs in their care the chance at a new life.

A warm thank you to Jennifer and Dana at Paws-Abilities, Inc. for hosting this wonderful event. With so much space for families and dogs to meet at your beautiful facility and an awesome location, the event went so smoothly. We appreciate your important role in helping 75 homeless dogs find loving homes!

I adopted 'Bosco" at the Pawsitive Alliance event last Sunday. His new name is Cooper! I wanted to let you know he is doing wonderfully and we are in love with him! He is adjusting comfortably, and he and our other dog, Cody, have certainly bonded! He is very sweet and very well behaved which has been a great surprise -- not always the case during an initial homecoming for a rescue pup! We lost our 19-year-old Lahsa last year and our 15-year-old Wheaton two weeks ago (both rescue dogs and was a heartbreaking year) so we are enjoying the newest generation of puppy love in our home. Our thanks go to Barks R Us for taking him in and taking such good care of him! We greatly appreciate all your hard work for Cooper and all of the other animals for whom you find loving homes!
