Pawsitive Alliance is pleased to announce an exciting event to benefit families and pets in the Snoqualmie Valley of western Washington . “Mardi Cause” will be an annual event sponsored by Valley Animal Partners to raise funds for pets in low-income and elderly families. So mark your calendars: “Mardi Cause” will take place on August 16-17 in 2008.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Silent Auction and Pie Auction on Saturday August 16th
The weekend fundraiser will begin on Saturday, August 16th, with a silent auction and a live pie auction at North Bend’s Moose Family Center, 108 Sydney Ave N., North Bend, from 5 to 9 p.m. Items up for bid in the silent auction include: a Mariner gift basket, $100 discount on an inflatable rental from Party Hoppers, a Gifts by Design gift basket, K & D wine basket with glasses, three hours of DJ Music services, an outdoor movie, three hours of DJ Karaoke services, pet thermal blankets, a No Worries Pet Sitting gift certificate, dog beds, clothes, toys, treat jars and feeders, one year of dog grooming at U-Dirty Dog, a photo session with Rover Exposures, and gift certificates from area restaurants.
Scrub-a-Pup and Adoptions on Sunday, August 17th
Several North Bend events are set for Sunday, August 17th, including a cat adoption event at Another Hair Place , 113 Bendigo Blvd., Suite B, North Bend, and a dog adoption event at the Renaissance Pet Boutique & Spa, 129 W. North Bend Way, North Bend, where you’ll also find a “smooch your pooch” kissing booth. Rover Exposures photography will be on-site to capture the kisses. Animal adoptions will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at both sites. U-Dirty Dog, 301 W. North Bend Way, North Bend , will offer “Scrub-a-Pup” self-wash & grooming from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday the 17th, with proceeds donated to Mardi Cause. Come spin the “Wheel of Fido Fortune” for one of many prizes.
Our main goal is to reduce the number of pets in our shelters. Making spay & neuter surgeries accessible is central to achieving our goal. With the ever-increasing costs of veterinary care, many pets in our area do not receive the medical attention they need -- most importantly, spay & neuter services. We’d like to change that.
Mardi Cause is an exciting opportunity to raise funds to help Snoqualmie Valley residents spay or neuter their pets. Proceeds will benefit area seniors, veterans and families with limited incomes. Pet owners seeking assistance may fill out an eligibility questionnaire and then be sent to a participating veterinarian for care.
