Mission Statement
Pawsitive Alliance's mission is to help end the killing of adoptable dogs and cats in Washington by increasing adoptions, supporting spay and neuter programs, and improving pet retention.
Board of Directors
Andrea Logan, co-founder and President of the Board
Andrea Logan is a contract paralegal assisting several local law firms in the areas of probate, estate planning and business law. Andrea has volunteered and worked for animal welfare organizations for several years. She has focused on adoptions, volunteer coordination, humane education, and spay/neuter events. Andrea is currently serving as Secretary on the Board of Directors of Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project.
Andrea shares her home with her husband, Joe, Kenai (dog), Roman (dog), and cats Ruby and Lucy.

Yolanda Morris, co-founder, Board Secretary and Treasurer
Yolanda Morris has several years experience, as a student, staff member, and volunteer, in the nonprofit sector with her main focus in the animal welfare field. When working with an organization she especially enjoys being involved with volunteer management, special events, fundraising, and increasing the strength of the organization to help achieve their mission.
Yolanda is the proud parent of Leah (dog) and Lucas (dog), both rescued.

Advisory Board
Rick Hall
Rick has served as a project manager, writer, editor, and contract officer through his working career. His volunteer service includes nonprofit grant writing and membership on the Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project board of directors. During the past two years, Rick has helped prepare and has served as an advocate for statewide spay/neuter legislation in Washington. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Washington and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of West Florida.
Rick is passionate about the welfare of wildlife and homeless or neglected companion animals. One of Rick's greatest rewards comes from working with others who are dedicated to improving the lives of cats and dogs through spay/neuter. Rick lives in Tacoma, Washington with cats Scotty and Molly.

Julie McGoldrick
Julie McGoldrick has had an interest in animals since early childhood which led her to her degrees in Biology and Zoology and her current job in Biopharmaceuticals. She has volunteered over the years for several animal welfare organizations and is currently interested in animal behavior studies. She intends to bring her knowledge and experiences to Pawsitive Alliance to help increase educational resources we make available to the public.
Julie shares her home with husband, Shawn, and six rescued pets: Chocco-Bear, Pepper, Cricket, and Phifer (dogs), as well as Simon and Smokey (cats).

Vaughn Merry
Vaughn Merry is the administration director for the Humane Society of Central Washington and has been in the animal care field for about 6 years. Vaughn has always had an interest in animals, especially cats and dogs. He focuses on increasing adoptions, humane education, spay/neuter of companion pets, and helping to reinforce the mission of the Humane Society. Vaughn is currently serving as the coordinator for Spay & Neuter Assistance Program in Yakima County.
Vaughn shares his home with wife, Jennifer, children Nathen & Samantha, Duke & Bear (dogs), and Itty & A.J. (cats).

Heather Anderson, Website Administrator
Heather Anderson is a development editor for an educational publishing company in New Hampshire. She is happy to be a volunteer with such a positive, outcome-oriented organization that changes the lives of animals and their families. Heather is also passionate about teaching children about gardening and volunteers as a teacher at a children's garden.
Heather shares her home with husband, Casey, son, Calvin, Wilson (dog), Porter (dog) and six chickens.

Denise Melton, Administrative Manager
Denise Melton helps Pawsitive Alliance part-time as an Administrative Manager. A lifelong believer in service to others and the world, she supports Pawsitive Alliance's work for our furry friends as well as many other nonprofit organizations. Denise can also be found teaching, tutoring, and doing energy healing work through her business Blissful Healing Spirit.
When not working, Denise and her husband, Daniel, are kept very busy caring for their cat children named Merlin, Angel, and Sariah.
